Line Test for Mac OS 7.6+

1.  Open a Terminal Window by selecting the Apple Menu>Control Panel>Remote Access or PPP

 2.  Click on Options, and then Protocol Button.

 3.  Add check to  Connect to a command-line host:  place radian next to Use Terminal Window and click OK

 4.  Put in Phone number: 18473302780

 5.  Click on Connect button

 6.  When you are connected to 3Com the following words appear:  "Do you want graphics?".  Press Enter.

 7.  When it asks "What is your first name" type:  Line

 8.  When it asks "What is your last name" type:  Test

 9.  Wait for the results to be displayed on your screen.  Write down the results word for word.  Tell the Lisco tech your results the next time you call.

10.  To quit terminal window, click on cancel.

NOTICE:  It is recommended that you perform this test at least 10 times to get

               an accurate measurement of your connect-ability.  Remember you are

               calling a long distance number, which will give you different results

               compared to calling locally.
