LISCO Offers One Month Free Service

To make it as easy as possible for people to try the Internet, LISCO (Your Local Internet Service Company) is now providing all new users with one month of free service, and the company is no longer charging a set-up fee.

Under the new pricing policy, anyone who signs up with LISCO for a dial-up Internet account will receive the first month free. "This means that you can try the Internet for a month, for free," says Jerry Yellin, Vice President of LISCO. "You'll be billed starting only with your second month."

LISCO offers a number of metered and unmetered pricing plans, starting at as little as $13.95 per month.

"Getting connected to the Net," says Yellin, "couldn't be easier. We've got a team of friendly, experienced techs to help you get connected quickly and effortlessly."

LISCO, which has been offering Internet service in Iowa since 1994, has local access telephone numbers in over 100 communities in the southeastern part of the state. Local access numbers mean that users can connect to the Internet without incurring long-distance telephone charges.

LISCO, with connections to the Internet equivalent to ten T1 lines, provides 56k digital service to most of the communities it serves. LISCO is also multi-homed, with more than one vendor or pathway connecting it to the Internet. If one of these providers is inaccessible or unacceptably slow, traffic is routed through an alternate provider. This results in faster, more reliable service.
