Extra E-mail
A basic LISCO dial-up account includes one free e-mail box. If one box isn't enough for your needs, you can have LISCO's Customer Service create up to 4 more additional e-mail boxes at no charge. Each additional box will have its own username, password, and e-mail address. Here's how this could be useful. Let's say that John Doe already has a dial-up account with LISCO. The e-mail address for the account is jdoe@lisco.com. Betty, his wife, has started to use the computer in their home, too, and it has become inconvenient and confusing for them both to be sending and receiving their own e-mail messages using the jdoe@lisco.com e-mail address. If they set up a second e-mail box with, for example, bdoe@lisco.com as the e-mail address, then John and Betty will both have their own private e-mail addresses. If they want, they can configure their e-mail program (Netscape Communicator, Outlook Express, etc.) so that all of John's e-mail is saved into its own folder, and all of Betty's e-mail is saved into a different folder. This will make it even easier for John and Betty to read and manage their e-mail. Some families set up extra e-mail boxes for a son or daughter, or for a home-based business. If you need more than 5 e-mail boxes, additional boxes can be provided at $2.00 per box, plus a one-time activation fee of $5.00. To set up an extra e-mail box, or for more information, call LISCO at 641-472-5400. |
