HOW TO ACTIVATE LISCO FILTER

Once you have signed up for LISCO Filter service to be added to your Internet account, blocking of objectionable sites will occur automatically every time you use the Internet. You do not need to do anything to turn on LISCO Filter.

If you try to visit an objectionable site, the LISCO Filter blocking page will appear.

HOW TO TURN OFF LISCO FILTER

If you would like to disable LISCO Filter so you can visit a blocked site, proceed as follows:

1. Click on the Authorize Override link. The Authorized Access Page will appear.

2. Type in your LISCO Filter username and password.
3. In the Time field, type in the number of minutes you'd like filtering to be turned off.
4. Click on the Begin Override button. The Authorized Access Granted page will appear, indicating that LISCO Filter is now turned off.

5. At the bottom of the page you'll see a link to the site that you were blocked from visiting. Click on this link to go to the site.

HOW TO RESTORE LISCO FILTER

Once you have turned off LISCO Filter, you may want to restore it (in other words, turn filtering back on). For example, let's say you elected to have LISCO Filter turned off for 15 minutes. But before the 15 minutes are over, you want to walk away from your computer. In such a situation, you may want to restore filtering in order to prevent someone else from using your computer to access objectionable sites. (Please also read the cache instructions on the Authorized Access Granted page.)

1. To restore LISCO Filter, scroll down to the bottom of whatever page is displayed in your browser. You'll see the LISCO Filter Trailer. The words "Filtering Off" indicate that LISCO Filter has been turned off.

2. Click on the Restore button. Your browser will return you to the LISCO Filter blocking page, indicating that LISCO Filter has been restored and that objectionable sites can no longer be visited.

HOW TO CHANGE YOUR PASSWORD

If you would like to change your LISCO Filter password, here's what to do:

1. If LISCO Filter has been turned off, restore it (see above).
2. Try to visit an objectionable site, for example: http://www.playboy.com. The LISCO Filter blocking page will appear.

3. Click on the Authorize Override link. The Authorized Access Page will appear.

4. Type in your LISCO Filter username and current LISCO Filter password.
5. Click on the Change Password button. The Change Authorized Access Password page will appear.

6. Enter your new password twice.
7. Click on the Submit Password button.

HOW TO HIDE THE TRAILER, SEE THE FILTERING POLICY, OR REQUEST A SITE REVIEW

1. If LISCO Filter has been turned off, restore it (see above).
2. Scroll down to the bottom of whatever page is displayed in your browser. You'll see the LISCO Filter Trailer.

3. Click on the Printable Version link in order to prevent the Trailer from appearing at the bottom of every Internet site displayed in your browser. The Trailer will not appear for 1  minute, allowing you to print the viewed page without the addition of the banner. After 1 minute the Trailer will reappear.
4. Click on the Policy link in order to read about what type of sites are blocked by LISCO Filter.
5. Click on the Request Review button in order to request that an Internet site be added to, or removed, from the list of sites that are blocked by LISCO Filter.
