Allowing Email From Mailing Lists To Bypass The Filters

If you subscribe to a mailing list, you may find that the LISCO spam-free email filtering system is blocking mailing list messages from reaching your email program's inbox. It's easy to add the mailing list address to your Approved Senders list, thus allowing messages from the mailing list to automatically bypass the junk email filters.

The procedure for adding a mailing list address to your Approved Senders list will vary, depending on whether the mailing list address appears in the TO: field or the FROM: field of the messages you receive from the mailing list. (See below for examples of these two types of messages.)

appearing in the TO: field

Example of the mailing list address (bookmarket@bookzone.com)
appearing in the FROM: field

1. Regardless of which of these two types of messages you receive, start out by using your browser to log into your personal Message Center. Click on the Junk Email Settings.

2. If the email address of your mailing list appears in the FROM: field, enter the address into the top field in the Approved Senders area. (If the email address of the mailing list appears in the TO: field, go to step 4, below.)

3. Click on the Save to List button. The mailing list address will appear in the Approved Senders list.

4. If the email address of your mailing list appears in the TO: field, mouse-click on the YES link at the end of the sentence that reads, "Are you trying to approve an email mailing list or newsgroup?" The Indentify Mailing Lists That Should Be Approved page will appear.

5. Enter the mailing list address into the top field of the Approved Mailing Lists area, then click on the Save to List button. The mailing list address will appear in the Approved Mailing Lists list.
