Why You Should
Change Your
Computer's
DNS Numbers

October 1, 2003

Dear LISCO user,

LISCO will soon be changing the Primary and Secondary DNS numbers that are used by all our dial-up customers to browse and send and receive email. In order to be able to continue to visit all possible Web sites and receive all your email, you will want to change the two DNS settings on your own computer to coincide with these new numbers.

DNS numbers, which act like "addresses," allow your computer to connect to the LISCO server which handles browsing and email traffic.

LISCO's new DNS number are:
Primary Domain Name Server
(DNS) Address = 69.18.32.50
Secondary Domain Name Server
(DNS) Address = 69.18.32.51

For detailed instructions on how to change these two numbers on your computer, please click on the following link:

http://site.lisco.com/support/changeDNS.html

WE SUGGEST YOU PRINT OUT THE INSTRUCTIONS FROM OUR WEB SITE
We recommend that, before you change the DNS numbers on your computer, you click on the link above, where you will find instructions specifically tailored to whatever type of computer you have, and then print out those instructions. Only after printing the instructions should you proceed to change the DNS numbers.

WHAT WILL HAPPEN IF YOU DO NOT MAKE THESE CHANGES
If you don't make the changes, you will still be able to connect to LISCO, but you may not be able to visit all possible Web sites, or receive all your email.

THIS DOES NOT APPLY TO LISCO RDSL OR DIRECT CUSTOMERS
If you are a LISCO RDSL or LISCO Direct customer, your computers will be set to find our DNS servers automatically. These network changes are required only of LISCO dial-up customers.

YOUR COMPUTER MAY ALREADY BE USING LISCO'S NEW DNS NUMBERS
Depending on when you signed up for LISCO service, you may already have these "new" DNS numbers configured in your computer. If so, you do not need to make any changes.

WHEN CAN YOU MAKE THE CHANGES
Even though LISCO won't make the change from its side immediately, you can make the changes on your computer anytime, starting today.

THIS CHANGE DOES NOT AFFECT YOUR PASSWORD OR EMAIL PROGRAM
You do not need to change the password that you use to connect to LISCO, or the password you use to receive email. You also do not need to change any other email settings.

WHAT TO DO IF YOU NEED ASSISTANCE
Although most users will be able to change these numbers themselves, if you need assistance or have questions, please call LISCO's Customer Service Department
at 800-331-8414, or email us at:

Thank you for choosing LISCO as your Internet service provider.
