E-Mail Settings
For Microsoft Outlook 2000

1. Open the Microfost Outlook 2000 E-mail program. (To open the program, click on Start, Programs, Microfost Outlook. Alternatively, you can double-click on the Microfost Outlook 2000 icon on the Desktop.)
2. Click on the Tools pull-down menu, then click on Accounts. The Internet Accounts box will appear.
3. Click on the Mail tab. A box containing a list of mail accounts will appear.

4. Under the word "Account," mouse-click on your account name. (If there is more than one account listed, click on the one that says "Dial-up LISCO" under Connection. If there is not an account that says "Dial-up LISCO," click on the Add button.)
5. Click on the Properties button. This will bring up Properties box with the General tab selected.

6. In the white box under "Mail Account," you can change the name of the account, if you like. You can give the account whatever name you want.
7. Note: filling out the "Name" field and the "Organization" field is optional.
8. For "E-mail address," type in username@lisco.com
(In other words, type in your username, immediately followed by "lisco.com") This should be typed all in lowercase, with no spaces or punctuation.

For "Reply address," type in username@lisco.com
(In other words, type in your username, immediately followed by "lisco.com") This should be type all in lowercase, with no spaces or punctuation.
10. Click on the Servers tab. This will bring up the Servers box.

11. For "Incoming mail (POP3)," type in pop.lisco.com
This should be all in lowercase.
12. For "Outgoing mail (SMTP)," type in smtp.lisco.com
This should be all in lowercase.
14. Under "Account name," type in your LISCO username. (Remember: your LISCO username does not contain the "@lisco.com.")
15. Note regarding the "Password" field: It is up to you whether you want to enter your password here. If you do enter it no, you won't be prompted for your password every time you open up the program. On the other hand, by leaving this field blank you will prevent others from opening the program and accessing your mail.
16. Click on the Connection tab.

17. Make sure "Connect using my phone line" is selected.
18. Where it says "Use the following Dial-Up Networking connection," select the proper LISCO connection from the pull-down menu.
19. Click on the OK button. This will close the Connection box.
20. Click on the Close button. This will close the Internet Accounts box.
21. In the future, whenever you want to get your mail, here's what to do:
a. Connect to LISCO.
b. Open Microfost Outlook 2000.
c. Select the Tools pull-down menu, then select Send and Receive.
d. Your mail will be downloaded to your machine.
