Connection Settings
For Windows 2000

1. Close all programs and windows and go to the Desktop.
2. Click on the Start Menu Button.
3. Click on Settings, then click on Network and Dialup Networking, then click on Make New Connection.
4. Click Next when prompted.
5.   Choose Dial-Up to the Internet and hit Next.

 

 

 

 

6. Choose I want to setup my Internet Connection Manually.
7. Choose Connect using my Phone Line and hit Next.
8. Your modem should then be listed, hit Next.

 

 
9. Type in the area code of the LISCO local access telephone number.
10. Type in the LISCO local access telephone number. (Get this from the Welcome Letter you received when you signed up with LISCO.)
11. Uncheck the Use Area Code and dialing rules box.
12. Click on the Advanced button, then click on the Addresses Tab.

 

Warning: Be sure to check that the LISCO local access telephone number you choose is a local call from your phone. If you have any doubt about whether the call will be toll-free, contact your telephone company. LISCO is not responsible for any long distance charges incurred.

 

13. In the "DNS server address" field, click Always use the Following.
14. In the Primary DNS Server field type in the following:  69.18.32.50
In the Alternate DNS Server field type in the following:
69.18.32.51
Click OK to save changes, then click Next for the Setup Wizard.

 

 
14. Type your Lisco username and password.  Make sure every character is in lower case letters, no spaces are allowed.  Make sure you do not use @lisco.com to your username, as that is only for email.  Click Next.
15. Rename Connection Name to Lisco and click on Next.
16. When prompted to setup and Internet Mail account choose "Yes" and click on Next.

 

 

17. If asked, choose "Create a New Internet Mail Account".  If you are not prompted for this information go to step # 18.
18. In Display name type your name.  This can be your email address, your username, or your Real Name.  You can use capital letters and spaces in this field.  Then click Next.
19. Type in your email address.  Your email address must be in the following format:  username@lisco.com .  No capital letters or spaces are allowed.  Then click Next.

 
20. Leave "My Incoming Mailserver" set as a POP3 Server.
21. Type pop.lisco.com in Incoming Mail Server field.  Note that it must be in all lower case letters.
22. Type out.lisco.com in Outgoing Mail Server field.  Note that it must be in all lower case letters.
23.

Click Next.

24. Type your Lisco password in the Password field.  Your username should be already listed in the Account Name field.  Keep the check in Remember Password.
25. Do NOT check the box prompting to Log on Using Secure Password Authentication.  Instead just hit Next after you type your password.
26. Click Finish.
27. Your computer should now dial you up and connect you to the Internet.
