Configuring Outlook Express 5.0
for the Macintosh

1. Checking to see if you have Outlook Express Version 5

The most popular e-mail client among LISCO Macintosh users is Microsoft Outlook Express. The latest version of Outlook express for the Macintosh is Version 5.0.

To find out which version you have, choose About Outlook Express from the Apple menu.

If you have Outlook Express Version 4.5 go here.

First, choose Accounts from the Tools menu. This will bring up the Accounts window.

If there is no LISCO account, click on New and create one.

If there is a LISCO icon, highlight it and click on Edit.

3. What settings to use

Account name
The Account name can be whatever you would like. The "Include this account" checkbox should be checked.

Personal Information
In the name field type your full name.

In the E-mail address field type your LISCO e-mail address.

Receiving mail
The Account ID is your LISCO username.

The Pop server is
pop.lisco.com

Check the Save password box if you don't want to enter your password each time you open Outlook Express.
